So many amazing bands within 24 hours xD
Last week I posted about how I thought season 9 of HIMYM should end. My ending involved Ted looking up and seeing his future wife, the screen freezing and the voice over saying “and kids, that’s how I met your mother” and then the screen goes black.
I think that we should know nothing about his wife, not even what she looks like. That way the idea of his wife is left completely to our imagination. The perfect ending.
But after the season 8 finale when we see his wife ordering a train ticket… is sat up and shouted at the TV “she’s not good enough for him!!!”
A disappointing end to a disappointing season.
That’s like 50 hours!
I’m sure there are a lot of people who have listened to it more, but this is a milestone for me!

projectpele (mid-April 2013):
There have been some amazing releases already this year (and some poor ones…) so I thought I’d rank my preferences so far:
1. Paramore - Paramore 9/10 (239 plays)
2. Fall Out Boy - Save Rock and Roll 8.5/10 (190 plays)
3. Senses Fail - Renacer 7/10 (88 plays)
4. Mallory Knox - Signals …
Now I’ve listened through The Greatest Generation several times, I can safely say that it has replaced Paramore’s S/T as my favourite album of 2013 so far. I love it.
1. The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation 10/10 (211 plays)
Ahh yes, I’d forgotten about that. My theory could still work though as you could easily fit 45 days within 24 episodes. Also, you don’t have to message me as anon!
I assumed that the current season (s08) was going to end with the wedding and at the end of the episode he’d look across the train station (after the wedding) and see her just as the screen goes black. Which would mean we’d have the whole of next season watching the relationship grow until the season (and show) ends with some huge moment (perhaps a proposal?).
Do we know the next episode is the wedding? Because after this weeks episode (s08e23), it didn’t feel like the next episode will be the wedding (although I could be wrong). Which would mean the wedding will be next season. An event like a wedding in the show, especially the wedding where he meets his wife, would be at either half way through the season just before the mid-season break, or right at the end of the season.
I still like the idea of his wife being left to our imaginations and the show is called ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Not ‘How I Met Your Mother and then how the first year or so of us dating went up to us getting engaged’. So to me, the show should end with him meeting her. The first glance. The love at first site. *screen fades to black*
How I Met Your Mother should end with Ted saying ‘hi’ to his future wife. Then the screen should freeze and the voice over say “and kids, that’s how I met your mother”, followed by the screen going black.
We shouldn’t find out anything about his wife, maybe not even what she looks like. We …
It’s a good theory and all but if this happens just be aware I will set fire to you.
Sorry, you’re probably lovely but if they fuck with me in this way I’m afraid I will hold you accountable regardless of how little input you had.
haha yeah I can see that it might upset some people, especially those who have been watching since 2005! I’m just worried that if we do get to know his wife, she might not be good enough for him.

We shouldn’t find out anything about his wife, maybe not even what she looks like. We (the audience) need to think of Ted’s wife as the perfect woman and as everyone will have their own idea of a ‘perfect wife/woman’, her entire character needs to be left to our own imaginations.
I really can’t wait to see them at Slam Dunk on the 25th!
I’ve only seen them once before (November 2011) and I didn’t really know any of their material. I’d seen their name bouncing around on Tumblr and they happened to be playing my hometown the weekend I was visiting, so I just bought a ticket. But despite only knowing a couple of songs, I thought they were amazing.
So now, 18 months later, they are one of my favourite bands and I’m finally able to see them live again. I cannot wait!
